Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative is inviting all agricultural producers who operate irrigation pumps using power from Fall River to the Cooperative’s FREE annual Irrigator’s Summit to be held on Wednesday, March 1 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Ashton office of Fall River Electric. The purpose of the meeting is to provide helpful information to irrigators on how they can use less energy operating their pumps while conserving water and lowering their power bills.
Agricultural engineer Dick Stroh, from the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), will be on-hand to review the over-all ag market. He will be joined by presenters from the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, High Country RC&D, and Rumsey Engineering. Fall River’s conservation specialist Jan Dean will also provide information on lighting rebates from Fall River available to ag producers and Operations Manager Trent Yancey will share important safety tips about handling irrigation equipment around power lines.
Attendees will also be provided a free lunch. Please R.S.V.P. to 208.652.7431 by Monday, February 27 if you plan to attend.
