(ICUA) Youth Rally

Prepare your teen for the future!

Your teen can build leadership and teamwork skills, learn about electric cooperatives, and meet new friends from across the Northwest – at no cost to you!

Again in 2013, Fall River sponsored nine high school students who attended the Idaho Cooperative Utility Association’s Youth Rally. Students from across the Northwest converged on the campus of the College of Idaho in Caldwell during the week of July 8-13, 2013.

In addition to attending Youth Rally, each of these students were awarded $200 college scholarships courtesy of the owner-members of Fall River Electric.

Applications for 2014 Now Closed

Applications for this opportunity in 2014 have closed. Students that qualify must be a current (spring '14) sophomore or junior in high school, have parents or guardians who are Fall River Electric owner-members, and submit an application with a short essay. The application and essay deadline was April 18, 2014 with student selection in June of 2014 for students attending our July 7-12, 2014 rally to be held in Treasure Valley (Boise area).

Student Requirements

  • Students must currently (spring 2014) be in their sophomore or junior year.
  • Parents or guardians must be members of and receive power from Fall River Electric Cooperative.
  • Students must submit a one to two page essay on the following subject:

             If you were in charge of the energy efficiency program at your school, describe the ways you would   recommend your school use electricity more efficiently.

  •  Students must also submit an application (see form below) by April 18, 2014 
  • Students must attend an interview selection process
