Commercial Lighting Rebate Program

Fall River offers a rebate to cover a significant portion of the cost to replace lights throughout your business. The commercial lighting rebate is for non-residential lighting only, and applies to existing building retrofit and new construction agricultural and commercial projects. To qualify, lighting projects must:
- A commercial business with a Fall River service account
- Be cost-effective and result in a minimum energy usage reduction of 25%
Before you begin replacing lights, please contact the Fall River Electric Conservation Specialist in order to ensure you qualify for the rebate program and to receive an application.

Irrigation Rebates
Require pre-approval
Variable Frequency Drive Rebate
If you have an irrigation account, you may qualify for a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) rebate of up to $56 per horsepower. You must have an electrically powered turbine style irrigation pump with substantial variation in flow rates (20% or more), and/or discharge pressure requirements (10% or more). Installations must meet IEEE 519 standards and you must have at least 2 years of “typical” energy use history for evaluation purposes. You must receive a written pre-approved application from Fall River before you begin work on upgrades to qualify for this rebate program.

Fall River offers incentives on replacement equipment to encourage upgrading to more efficient irrigation options. Many times irrigation equipment hardware goes years without maintenance or replacement. The orifices of nozzles become worn out and larger than originals, leading to leaks, inefficient application of water, soil erosion and unnecessary energy use through pumping too much water.
